Hi All,
I am looking into Nutcracker tickets for December. Does anyone have any recommendations regarding sections for seating in the Vienna Opera House and what is the dress code like for an event such as this.

From the website it appears that there are only two performances in December on the 23rd and 28th. There are more in January. Otherwise it is Romeo and Juliet.
At the ballet I like to be at the back of the main floor or at the front of the first balcony. The Staatsopera is horseshoe shaped with 3 rows of boxes with balconies above them (on the website look for the sitzplan - it's in the bottom banner). Probably good views from most boxes and certainly from the seats at the Centre of the horseshoe and further back in the main floor. Balconies could be a bit too high?
I'd go for a cocktail dress for women and business suit for men.

Thank you all. We land on the 23rd so planned on the show on Dec 28th.
I was trying to identify sections on the website but only saw tickets by A,B,C,D,E. I wasn't sure how that corresponded to seats.
