I understand the nuns sing before sunrise and you can enter and listen to the nuns sing. I believe this is often at 6:45.
Does anyone have experience or information on this?
THANKS!

Hi!
I don't have experience visiting in the early morning, but we did walk down from the fortress one day last November in the afternoon and heard them singing then. I'm not sure if we just got really lucky, or if this is a usual occurrence at that time of day, but we walked in, sat down in only candlelight with the place to ourselves and could hear their beautiful voices coming from somewhere up above.
I know that might not answer your question, but i wanted to mention how much it is absolutely worth the effort to get there. It was a highlight of our time in Salzburg, especially being Sound of Music fans.
Have a great trip,
PQ
Thanks Emily - I had seen that and it says 6:45. Information I had seen says prior to sunrise.....just trying to see what folks have experienced. Think I will live with the 6:45 - but I will get there!
PQ - great to know it was that special! Worth getting up early!
