We're traveling this fall with two people who have allergies to dogs. Does anyone know of any Vienna hotels that do not allow pets?
I did a google search and came across this hotel - https://www.harmonie-vienna.at/en/room/allergy-friendly-rooms/
As Viennese love their dogs, be warned that dogs are everywhere - in restaurants, on the street, on public transportation, in shops (not grocery shops, though).
Thanks so much. Very helpful.
What exactly did you search for in your google search?
I searched "wien hotel allergy" and *Emily"'s link came up first, and others below. Note that the second one does not permit dogs in the allergy rooms, but that doesn't mean that they won't be elsewhere in the hotel.
I haven't tried it, but you might try "wien hotel allergy dog" or pet, or substitute Vienna, or try allergy-free.
Just be a bit creative and ask Google what you want to find.
These principles will also work in other cities,
As the typical Viennese loves his dog more than his fellow citizens, you will be confronted with dogs very often.
Pet free hotels are rare:

Better hotels have pet free floors or pet free rooms:

Have you considered short let apartments? A quick search on Airbnb for self contained apartments show numerous with a 'no pets' policy.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
And don't forget to watch where you are walking!
