We were able to obtain tickets to the Vienna Philharmonic's New Year's Day concerts in 2018, 2019 and 2020 through a secondary market ticket broker. Unfortunately, he is no longer offering the service. Does anyone know of a secondary market ticket broker for Philharmonic New Year's Day concerts. (Not interested in any substitute performances.)

That's interesting. I never managed to get a ticket for this concert. Just for curiosity, how much more than the regular price you had to pay? It is the most expensive concert in Vienna, I presume.

I did find another secondary market ticket broker for the New Year's Day concerts. These tickets, depending on seat location, are between 4 and 6 times the face price of the ticket.

Thanks for the information. I'd love to attend this concert at least once in my life, but the regular ticket prices are already very high, and multiple prices are beyond any reason.

I applied this year but didn't get them.
What I'm wondering is whether some of the other Sunday morning events in churches that Rick recommends will be happening on New Year's day since 1/1/2023 is a Sunday. Anyone know?

While it would certainly be nice to attend in person, Ii's not news that these tickets are as rare as hen's teeth . A decent substitution - The program , in abridged ( ninety minute ) format is shown here in the States on PBS . A few weeks later , however , the complete program , roughly two hours , forty five minutes is released on DVD .. I've been a fan for decades , and while they are all good , two recent concerts ( 2014 , and 2018 ) are really worth buying . . Watching on a large high definition flat screen TV with a decent sound system playing the audio , is a fairly good second choice . I enjoy a great deal of theater, and music, in this manner at home .

The concert is live broadcast by Austrian Television (ORF), and you can download it in different qualities (screen resolution) from onlinetvrecorder.com as an example.
