My family will be in Salzburg in mid-June for 1-2 days. What is the Panorama museum? Is it worth the time?
Their website says they are closed as of March 1 and relocating to the Orangery at Mirabell Schloss.
Reads as if it’s not somewhere to go for a view but have panoramas viewed more like a movie?
If you are looking for ideas, here are two non-museum ideas:
The 150 bus to Gaisberg. Have a snack at the top and enjoy some fantastic views. Free bus ride with Salzburg card.
Cable Car Untersberg - another freebie on the bus as well as the cable car w/Salzburg card. https://www.salzburg.info/en/sights/excursions/cable-car-untersberg
For what it's worth, I went in September, taking advantage of my museum pass. It was fine, but honestly not that big of a deal - a 20 minute visit at most.
Thank you for helping us to cross this off our Salzburg list for this trip.
