Need inputs on stay-Vienna or Krems or Spitz

Hi Everyone,

We are travelling from India and planning on doing this 5 day walking tour from Krems to Spitz and back to Krems. Our return flight is back from Vienna and we have 2 nights before our departure.

I am confused on what would be the best use of those 2 nights. Should we stay in vienna, then which location would be best; and if not, should we do one extra night in Krems or Splitz.

Any inputs would be of great help.

If just two nights you may best look for a location inside the ring. This would place you not only in a good central location for walks through the historic part of the city but also easy access to transport to Schönbrunn Palace. That would be my recommendation.
