4 older adults, Vienna late Oct, 3 days Vienna, please advise must do museums and places in our time frame, thank you!

In 2015, we were "palaced out" by the time we got to Vienna, and could only handle the Schonbrunn gardens and zoo. We did enjoy:
Art History Museum (Kunsthistorische Museum)
Belvedere for the Klimts and beautiful architecture and gardens
Treasury Museum at the Hofburg - especially for Charlemagne memorabilia. Sissi Museum - not so much
Albertina for more recent art
Military History Museum
Morning Exercises at Spanish Riding School
If you're at all inclined - the Opera is sublime
Just walking around in this beautiful city

If you aren't "palaced out" try to see the inside of Schonbrunn as well as the gardens. I think I enjoyed it more than Versailles. Also agree with the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the treasury. Stroll down Kartner Strasse, window gazing and stopping for some delicious coffee and cake.
