Music and event schedules - Salzburg and Wien over Xmas and New Years

We're in these two cities respectively over late December and New Years upcoming.
Looking for some online schedule/calendar of music events in English, not German, to cover these cities for potential choices to attend events from classical to other.

Not attending any big New Years dance concerts/balls in Wien, unless you may have a recommendation of something of reasonable cost.
Any links?

Music " Events " constitute a very broad choice . What are your tastes and how sophisticated is your ear ? Choices range from light music ( Waltzes and various dance selections ) to very involved and deep works ( Mahler , Schoenberg , and ultimately Second Vienna School ) . I love it all , but it depends on current mood and how appropriate a choice is for a particular setting .

I'm just looking for an online compendium of "what's on" in Wien, in English, specifically including music offerings. Not successful in finding one yet, maybe one does not exist. In Wien Dec 28th - Jan 2. Salzburg for a few days just before.

We will be in Vienna over New Year's Eve -- planning to bundle up and visit the outdoor Jumbo-Trons which will be simulcasting events (symphony ?) Two years ago there was waltzing in the streets outside St Stephen's and lots of street vendors.

I'm preparing for a trip to Vienna and I know for a fact one of Rick's radio shows featured a long conversation with a woman who goes to Vienna each year for the ball season. She gave a lot of tips on how to find out what's on and how to buy tickets, what to expect. It's not one of the Vienna podcasts, it's the radio show.

I just checked; it's an older episode that's not archived on this site. You'll need to to go Soundcloud and search "Rick Steves Vienna" and you'll find it. You will be able to stream it right there on your computer when you find it.
