Recently (September, looking at October 2023):
how bad are the museum ticket line waits at the big attractions in Vienna?
(Kunsthistorisches, the Schoenbrunn Palace).
Rick Steves' likes to advocate getting museum tickets in advance. For certain hugely popular places, during high season, I agree.
But for attractions that I am scheduling as "Plan B" (as in, not my primary objective), I don't like to commit to a ticket in advance.
How bad are the waits for tickets in a line at Schoenbrunn since their website wants you to have a timed entry and advance ticket?
(18 years ago it was just walk up and go, but I see they now have this large visitor center and tourbus zone that I don't remember being there.)
thank you in advance
