Hello, first timer here. So we are going to be flying into Munich and spending a couple of days there. Then we are wanting to see the Eagles Nest, Konigssee, etc. So we are thinking Salzburg for a night or two. From here, we are wanting to head down to Venice. What is the best way to get to Venice from Salzburg? I'd like to avoid renting a car if at all possible.

Munich to Salzburg you can use a Bayern Ticket bought from a vending machine at any train station. Use the local Meridian train, after 9 am week days, anytime weekends. 25 EUR for the first person, then 7 EUR for each additional person with up to 5 traveling together. Trains every hour.
I did that trip back a couple years ago. Use the train. From Munich to Salzburg just get a ticket in the Hbf. The trains run very regular. I bought my ticket from Salzburg to Venice in Salzburg. Neither was expensive; around 30 Euro if I remember correctly. The trains are fast and those are fairly short rides.
