Most scenic route from Zell am See to Oberaudorf

Hi
Just joined the forum and would like some local advice please….
We’re planning a road trip in June 2025 and will be staying in Lienz for one night then travelling over the Gross Glockner to Zell am See from there I was planning to drive to Saalfelden then Sankt Johann. From there on to Griesnau, Schwendt, Kossen and Grassau. After Grassau drive to Bernau am Chiemsee, Assau am Chiemsee then take the 172 to Niederndorf and on to Oberaudorf.
Is this the most scenic route or could you recommend a better option(s) ?
Many Thanks
Neil

The Bavaria route is very scenic, I have taken the Aschau to Niederndorf several times as an alternative to the trafficked autobahn, but Bavarian country roads are slow. The supermarket in Niederndorf is nice, the architect made a front structure with fir logs, very distinctive.

Secondary roads only. I can't say it the most scenic, but one I seem to travel a lot: Zell am See to Wald im Pinzgau. Take the old Gerlos Road towards the Zillertal. From Zell am Ziller head towards the Achennsee. You can side trip to Alpbach and Wildschönau. Continue on to Bad Tolz or wherever. What do you see in Oberaudorf? Hard to pick a bad route.

Thanks mchpp
I was only thinking of the Oberaudorf area as our next overnight stop as the next day we were planning to go on the Sudelfeldpass to Schliersee then onto Bad Tolz and over to Landsberg am Lech.

I'm not familiar with the Sudelfeldpass, but I might have driven it? Bavaria overall is relatively flat. I think the Schliersee and the Tegernsee are nicer than the Chiemsee. Chiemsee is great to bike in the summer. Never been to Landsberg am Lech. Why there?

I thought as we will then be heading to Koblenz a good route would be Landsberg am Lech then Augsburg, Dinkelsbühl, Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Wurzburg as they are all on the “Romantische Straße”
