We would like to bike from Melk to Krems. I see there is a NextBike rental in Melk. Has anyone tried to use it without a cell phone?

I have not tried it but NextBike makes it sound like you could use their app on a tablet or other mobile device, if you'll carry that with you, instead of a phone. Try downloading the app at home.

Unfortunately I don't have an answer, but a similar question. Is it possible to make the do the rental with a simple phone, not a smartphone? Additionally, I'd like to be able to bike from Melk to Krems and drop it off there. I'm not sure if that is possible, though.
