Looking for relaxing, small, authentic villages in the Austrian Alps

My wife and I are considering spending time in the Austrian Alps in late Spring/early Summer 2019. We have never been there, and my research so far seems to indicate most places are quite touristy and trendy. We are more interested in "local" places like Lauterbrunnen, Murren, Wengen, & Gimmelwald in the Berner Oberland region of Switzerland where we spent two wonderful vacations in the past. Any recommendations on places to stay in the Austrian Alps similar to those in Switzerland mentioned above would be greatly appreciated.

We stayed in Oetz for about 10 days many years ago. Smaller town with a lovely church and several good restaurants. Very authentic Austrian alpine town. It's in the Otz Valley that is situated north/south towards the Italian border. Lots of hiking and interesting history throughout the valley. "Otzi Man" was discovered high in the mountains at the southern most point of the valley, so there is a number of interesting museums and sites that feature that part of history. Solden is known for World Cup downhill ski races. Lots of hikes to glaciers and alpine vistas throughout the valley. We did a lot of hiking and gondoa riding, day trips to neighbouring valleys and cities.

I suggest pulling up GoogleMaps for Innsbruck, Austria and looking for small villages east and west amongst the valleys. There are incredible villages up on the mountainsides throughout Western Tirol. And because this is such a heavily traveled area for snow skiers, there are hundreds and hundreds of B&Bs and small hotels.
We prefer to travel there because it's such an easy place to travel to and from the Munich Airport. And it's less expensive than Switzerland.
The Austrian Alps are absolutely incredible in beauty too.

Innsbruck, Alpbach, Lienz, Seefeld, and Leutasch are Tirol villages in the Austrian Alps similar to the Berner Oberland mountain towns. These villages fit what you are looking for.

I would second Seefeld in Tirol. We stayed there 1986 for the first time, and had returned several times over the years.
We always rented an apartment. I can give you the contact data of the landlords. If you are interested send me a PM.

Just in the Innsbruck environs: Igls, Lans, Aldrans, Patsch, Vill. Igls is fairly touristic, but the other ones are not. Igls and Vill are connected by bus at 15 minutes intervals to Innsbruck, the service to other ones is more patchy.

On the other side of the valley, Natters and Mutters.

Sorry I don't want to deluge you with stuff, but I enjoy less touristy local places too. Maybe western Austria like the Silbertal in Vorarlberg? Unfortunately the day I visited the Silbertal from Flirsch in the first week of June 2017 we had rain and fog, so we did not go up in the mountains there. I plan to go back to this region. We did hike up the valley. I bought some Enzian Schnaps from here: https://enzianhof.net/

aybe western Austria like the Silbertal in Vorarlberg?

Yes, I agree. But the definition of a "local" place might there even better be fulfilled by Damüls in the Bregenzer Wald, sitting in a high-lying valley beween the Furka Joch [the Austrian one ;)] and the Faschina Joch. Situated midst of spectacular alpine landscape, it's a popular skiing ressort but much less visited in summer. Access ist from A14 Bregenz - Innsbruck at Rankweil.
