Looking for flyfishing spots in the Voralberg area.

Early June may be too soon for the rivers to calm down but any info would help.

Martha, cant help you with Austria but if you ever find yourself back in Central Europe check out the High Tatras of Slovakia we went fishing there about 2 years ago and had a blast. In June of this year we are heading to Bulgaria for 8 days of fly fishing. Cant wait! I've researching Montenegro which sounds promising too (next year I hope).

AND!!! we have planned out trip into Central Europe (we spend a lot of time in Hungary each year) so that we had a couple day layover in London. There is a bus direct to Winchester (Rivers Tyne and Itchen) where the fishing is historic and a blast.

Tight Lines.

Aaro; That looks absolutely wonderful. We will be in the area next week, unfortunately way too early; and we have another fishing vacation already set for this summer but will keep it in mind for next summer. With the altitude and weather what are the limits of the season; late June to late September?? Earlier or later??? And what is the most productive period?

Thanks

james

Hi James, first I have to say, that I'm not the best person to answer your questions...But I have been told that actually now it's great time to do flyfishing, before the snow melts up from the mountains and rises the surface of the rivers. This time you can fish there river trouts, rainbow trouts and lake chars. I recommend you to contact straight to Falknerhof (info@falknerhof.com), Mr. Falkner is an expert and he knows everything about the area!
