Live report from Salzburg!

Hello everyone: thank you for all you help and support. I am in Salzburg now. (just landed this morning)

I went to a restaurant and a cafe, both of which checked my CDC vax card. No vax or PCR negative test, no service. Period.
So, please don't forget to bring your vax card with you at all times.

Happy travels!

Excellent! Glad you made it. Did they check ID as well or just had a look at the card?

Hi Pam: some checked my ID and some just looked at my CDC card.

I did see that in some pubs or bars in old town, they did require a negative PCR test for those who are not vaxx'ed. So, a negative antigen test is not sufficient. Neither is proof of Covid recovery.

Neither is proof of Covid recovery.

Is this a rule of the establishment? This not a rule of the Austrian government.

Validity of different COVID proofs in Austria at the moment:
Full vaccination - 270 days
Recovery - 180 days

wmt1: this is for specific businesses and all nightlife venues. At bars and clubs, the 3G rule becomes 2G.

I had to show my CDC vax card at check-in. The receptionist even checked the date of the last dose.

Then, I had to fill out a form for contact tracing--I did the same at every restaurant and cafe.

Are the museums requiring reservations in order to limit attendance? Any info on that?

Sorry, Kristin, I did not go to any museum. However, many shops set a limit to the number of customers inside.
