Hi, we will be in Vienna in the third week of July and I was disappointed to find out that both the Spanish Riding school (stallion performances) and the Vienna State Opera are on vacation at that time! Could you kindly suggest any comparable activities during that timeframe, with a 11 year old joining too? Thank you!

If you want to attend an opera performance, I can suggest Aida presented open-air in a Roman quarry.
There are combo-tickets available, i.e., including bus transfers to the location and back to Vienna.

We like to go to the Food and Film festival at the Rathaus in the summer where the show opera or other performances on a huge screen each evening. The food is fantastic.
