Hello all-
First of all we are spending a couple of days at the Aqua Dome in Langenfeld. Has anybody been there? Just wondering what to expect. Anyway, we have one night to spare before we head to Zurich for a few days and then home. I know there are places in between to stop, but would like some recommendations. Initially we were thinking maybe Innsbruck ,heading south to Bolzano or over to Bregenz or Lindau . We are open to any ideas. Big or little cities, doesn’t matter. Thanks, Dan

Are you driving or using trains?
Yes, we were there 13 years ago. We were skiing at Soelden and took a day off to relax and bussed down to it. Very pleasant. hot pools, cold pools, water slides, restaurant.

Seams like you were starting from Vienna with a car, and car would certainly be handy in Langenfeld unless you are taking the bus up from Oetztal station. If you have a car and will drop it before entering Switzerland, there is a Hertz location in Bregenz and a Sixt location in Dombirn. Either location is near a train station to continue into Switzerland.
In Switzerland, I am partial to Luzern. Lots to see and do there and I prefer it to Zurich. It is only just over an hour to the airport from there. Another option is Appenzell, just over the border from Austria.

I have been to Aqua Dome twice. It's very nice. However, there is no need to stay there for more than one to two nights, if you are not interested in skiing or hiking in the surrounding area.
Bolzano is far and out of the way for you.
