Has anyone been to both Kreuzenstein Castle and Burg Liechtenstein? I'll be visiting Vienna in May (it will be my second time there) and have room in my itinerary to visit one of these, but am having difficulty deciding which. Any comparisons would be helpful.

Burg Liechtenstein and Burg Kreuzenstein are both castles built in the 19th century on the remains of medieval fortresses destroyed in preceding wars centuries ago. Incidentially, the same architect was commissioned for the restauration works.
For me, just a personal preference, Burg Liechtenstein is more authentic, wheras Burg Kreuzenstein is more touristy.

I've been to both and I prefer Kreuzenstein. I liked the photogenic nature of it. Both are a long hike, however, from public transportation.
