We want to visit Kitzsteinhorn next week on our Austria trip, but unsure of how to get there. I know we have to get to Zell Am See, but I see that Gletscherjet is closed and will open on June 24th. Am I understanding it correct that we cannot view the top of Salzburgh or is there another way to get there? Really appreciate your help

Panoramabahn, Langwiedbahn and Gipfelbahn are in operation and will take you up to the "Panorama Plattform" and "Gipfel Restaurant".

Thank you! This is helpful, so we will need to change 3 cable cars to get to the top. Can you advise how much time we should budget for the trip starting with the first cable car, the ice arena would be closed and we don't plan to eat on the mountain. Going there for just views and photos.

Honestly I don't know. It's several years ago when I have been up there. I guess the ride with 3 cable cars to the top will take about 45 minutes one way.
Additionally it's about 30 minutes bus ride from Zell am See station to the first cable car.
Anyway it's worth only if the weather forcast is fine.
As an alternative you could consider to visit Grossglockner high alpine road. There is a bus service twice a week.
