I'm looking at trying K&T in Vienna this trip. I've read on other posts that there are two locations, and/or, possibly 97 steps at one of them? I'm ready to reserve, the steps are a concern. One or two normal flights of steps would be okay. Thank you.

As far as I know there is only one K&T Boardinghouse in Vienna.
It is located near the largest shopping street, Mariahilfer Strasse, maybe not the most quiet area. The building is beautiful, built in 1887.
There are steps to enter the property, and there is no lift. As far as I know, most rooms are one level above ground.

We stayed there in September and it was perfect for our needs. Price was right, the location was good (near the subway and easy walking to many places). There are stairs, but no even a "normal" flight of stairs. It's just off the lobby or what appears to be a business building. It was not very noisy, except for the construction across the street but we were not there when they were working.

My wife and I stayed there in November and it's the perfect location. Its right across the street from a U-Bahn stop, close to great shopping and it's only a 15 minute walk to the city center. We found it to be very quiet and the steps were not a problem at all.

Just to clarify -- K&T did previously have a 97-steps location which now has another name; the current one is more visitor-friendly in terms of stairs, same great hosts.

Yes. K&T moved a couple of years ago. We stayed there November 2016 and I highly recommend it. The location is really convenient, just a few steps from a U-Bahn stop. Book direct through them, not online sites.
