This may fall under the Spain category, but after skiing the last weekend of April- we were exploring either training to Vienna or through Switzerland, and arriving in Barcelona a week later. I'd love to take a scenic train and end up in a city with an airport so we can fly to Barcelona. If we want to do a week in between Ishgal and Barcelona, what are some itineraries or places not to be missed along the way? I was looking at Vienna, or Switzerland. We won't have a car. Thank you!!!!

Why not more skiing?
Take the 260 postbus to Landeck-Zams, then Railjet train to Sargans connecting to Chur. At Chur, take the Glacier Express to Zermatt, where they ski year-round. After Zermatt, take the train to Geneva airport and fly to Barcelona with Swiss or Vueling.
Glacier Express is THE scenic rail route.
