This event was usually the last Saturday and Sunday in September. It was cancelled for 2020 and then not too long ago a Vienna tourist website said the Wine Walk was to be September 11-12. But just now it seems that it will not occur although it did not say in black and white that it is cancelled.
Does anyone know more about this.

Do you mean the Wiener Weinwandertag (Vienna Wine Walk)? That is the event I’m familiar with. It is now scheduled to occur in May 2022 but was originally slated for October.

Yes that is the event. They several routes and information booths. You must make it to at least three different booths and get you paper stamped in order to received a pin saying you covered at least maybe 5 miles of walking. Not only do they have many tasting tents from various wineries, but there are several food tents along the paths as well.
