We are going to be in Vienna for six days, then going to Salzburg for two days and then returning to Vienna for one more night before leaving early the next morning for home. Should we find a hotel with a shuttle to the airport (does it exist) or just stay in Central Vienna and leave early the next morning. We do not have a car.

I'm staying at a hotel in the Ringstrasse and my research has led me to the conclusion that taking the City Airport Train for 12 euros will be easy and affordable; 15 minutes from Wien Mitte/Landstrasse to airport. It operates from 6 am to 11:30 pm. I saw plenty of hotels with shuttles, but all with a fee of approximately $25-35 euros.

The ease of that city shuttle is one reason that Rick doesn't bother to recommend hotels closer to the airport.
