Hi everyone,
I am taking the train from Munich to Vienna in late July. Wondering if it is fine to buy two one-way tickets, or will I save more by buying one round trip? Looks like there is a 29 euro fare available for advance booking, but I am still more than 90 days out.

Two one ways at the advance discount is the best deal, no roundtrip special.
There's no particular discount over two singles in Germany/Austria. Book the two single tickets, and don't wait for both dates to become available but book the first leg as soon as it goes on sale. Try both bahn.de and oebb.at to see which has the cheapest fare available.
