Please share your favorite things to do in Innsbruck. We are going to spend a day in Innsbruck and are interested in things to do, places to visit, restaurants, views.....thanks!
If the weather is good, take the funicular up to Hungerberg. There are wonderful vistas from there, plus it is a great place to start a hike to a hut for lunch or a drink. For dinner we loved die Wilderin. The food was fantastic and the staff were wonderful. The menu changes daily so is not offered in English, the the wait staff will translate it for you. The offerings went beyond my basic German.
You should visit the Crystal Worlds (Kristallwelten). It is a bit outside Innsbruck, but there is a shuttle bus leaving from main train station. You need to plan your schedule and buy the tickets for that time slot in advance.

The Hofburg is a small version of the Vienna one, not a long visit but very pleasant. I find very pleasant also the Ambras Castle, but it is a bit out of town and it needs almost a full afternoon.
If you are a woman - or if you have a wife - the Müller drugstore in the Rathaus could take almost an hour of your attention :-)
Hi,
The Nordkettenbahn trip if the weathers nice. Spectacular views! It has three stages: Hungerburgbahn which is a funicular from near the Innsbruck Congress to Hungerburg. Then a cable car to the Seegrube station. Then another cable car to the top, the Hafelekar station. You can do one, two or all three parts.
Schloss Ambras and the Hofkirche if the weather isn't cooperating. We love Müller stores. Not just just for women.
