We are going to Munich for 3 nights in July and I do not drive in Europe so we will rely on trains, buses, tours, etc. While we are in Munich we would like to have a day tour to the Hummel Factory near Coburg in Bavaria. Would this be feasible as far as distance? Does anyone know of a tour that would take us for the day from Munich?

Lynne, I don't know about tours from Munich but by train it's about 3 hours with change at Nuremberg. That can be kind of long for day trip. I'm sure you could hire a car and drive in Munich that would take you there, but it may be a bit pricey so it depends on how much it's worth to you.
You might get more answers if you post this in the Germany forum rather than the Austria forum.
I question whether the factory is open for visits, since I find no info in a Google search.
