How to spend time between Vienna and Prague

I will be getting into Vienna on Fri, Jun 13th around 11am so I have the rest of the day plus all day Sat. to see Vienna. The plan was to then leave early Sunday morning for Prague. In Prague, we would have from 2pm plus 2 full days.

Question, would you leave Vienna later in the day on Sunday (1:30pm) to essentially give 1 full day and 2 half days in Vienna and 2 full days in Prague or leave the plan as is which is 1.5 days in Vienna and 2.5 days in Prague.

thanks,
David

If you are flying into Vienna from the US, then I would add time to Vienna as you will probably not be good for very much the day you arrive.

I agree with Emily. The eternal question of which is "better" - Vienna, Prague or Budapest - has as many answers as there are travelers. So, give more time to Vienna, since your first day may be washed out in a jetlagged haze.

You could easily spend your whole trip in one city, as both cities are worthy of much more time than your whole trip. Choose one or the other if your flight arrangements have not been made.

I personally prefer Vienna with it's incredible history, music, art and architecture. Their museums are top of the line.

We had a good time in Prague also.

Thanks to all who have replied. Just to clarify, we are not flying in the day before. We will be doing 4 days in Munich and 2 days in Salzburg before taking the train to Vienna. We will be getting into Vienna around 11am that morning.

thanks,
David
