How to Find English Speaking Tour Guide and Driver in Styria

We're looking for an English speaking guide/driver who can take us to some ancestral villages in Eastern Styria. Does anyone know of a current online directory? Most of the links I've found through searches to date look very outdated or are focused on the major cities in Austria.

Thanks in advance!

Do you have a "base city/town" for the trip? Looking for a guide/driver based there would probably help out. If Graz is your base, you may contact Graz Guides. It is a large organization with multiple guides and offers planned tours in Styria. Perhaps they can help you with what you want to do? Maribor is a town in Slovenian Styria; there may be a guide there who can help, too.

Rick's guides are not much help here, unfortunately. In a Nov 23, 2007 blog post, he commented on breaking up the then Germany & Austria guide book into a Germany book and a Vienna book: "I... don’t want to write an Austria book because I don’t like much of Austria (or at least don’t want to be an expert on Graz and Klagenfurt)."

Thank you wmt1 for that link - exactly what I was looking for!

Dave - We are looking at perhaps 2 days in Graz and then moving to Feldbach as our base for a few days. I see Graz Guides that you recommended is also on the list at the link from wmt1.

Your help is much appreciated!
