Hotel location near Naschmarkt

We are thinking of booking the Renaissance Wien-a newly refurbished hotel near the Naschmarkt. Is this location available for hop on hop off-or should we consider trains

Is this area safe to walk around at night? How far to the Jewish museums.

If this is the one at Linke Wienzeile/Ullmanstrasse that's quite a distance out of the main centre and not near the Naschmarkt. It's out past the Gurtel, which is the outer central ring road, almost as far as Schonbrunn. You have a U-Bahn station right by the hotel and public bus stops nearby, don't know about the quiality of the neighbourhood. I'd pick somewhere close to the centre myself.

HOHO buses are not worthwhile in Vienna as so much of the area within the Ring is pedestrianised and big tour buses can't get around it.

I hate to tell you, but this hotel isn’t near the Naschmarkt. The hotel is in a very dull, working class area.

Hop on Hop off is useless in Vienna as the public transportation system is so much better and cheaper.

Everywhere in Vienna is safe at night.

The Jewish museums are in the First District, so you’d need to take the subway a few stops and then walk a bit. Use Google maps for public transportation guidance.

We stayed at the hotel Beethoven, very close to Natschtmark and walkable everywhere to the sites. We loved the hotel, one of the best we have stayed in in Europe. You will find their reviews all agree.
