Plan on being in Vienna around Dec 8-12 going to Christmas market. Hope to be able to hear the Vienna Choir. Looking for a non-chain hotel (we like the Rick Steves type) in Vienna but with a fitness center not too far away. Suggestions?

I've stayed here a half dozen times for a number of years ( going back in October ) it's one of my favorite hotels . A fitness facility is important to me , and one in the hotel or very close is a must . The hotel has one ( treadmill , bike , weight machine ) I go down at 7am , and never encounter anyone else . There is , however , a more elaborate facility , a half block away .. Hotel Levante Parliament!!! Fitness center in basement of hotel. Centrally located. Stayed there 3 times in 3 different Decembers. Staff couldn't be more accomodating.
