Hotel for early flight out of Vienna

We have decided to make life a little easier and try to find a hotel near the airport. Our flight is at about 6:00 am, which means that we need to be there at 4:00. We will be staying in Moedling and could probably get a taxi from there, but it would mean disrupting a household - and getting up even earlier.

Have any of you on this wonderful forum stayed in a hotel near the Vienna airport that also takes you to the airport at such a terrible hour? What was your experience? Reliable? Cost?

Thank you

The only hotel at the airport is the NH Vienna Airport hotel. Any other airport area hotel would require a taxi ride, so I see that it brings no benefit.

David, Emily - thanks for your responses. In the end I decided that indeed NH is the best solution, more expensive than I had wished for, but probably the most comfortable.

I check out hein and a bunch of other relatively close places, and most of them charged for transportation to the airport, in general there were apparently not too many rooms left, and in some cases the reviews were really pretty bad. So, I think we made a good choice.

Thanks to both of you.

There's a few hotels in Mannswörth, which is about as close to the airport as you can get (also right by a big petrochemical complex). I stayed at Hotel Das Reinisch. Not the absolute best hotel in the world, but basic enough for a night's sleep before a flight. They may offer a shuttle service, but I'm not positive.

Tom, yes, thank you, I saw Mannswoerth, but ended up with NH. It is right where we need to be, no taxi necessary, can maybe sleep in an extra 20 minutes or so, and the cost - everyone says you can't take it with you, so might as well let the hotel chain have it.

Thanks to all.

Bevor: Have you considered using the Red Cab service in Vienna? I believe they are associated in some way with Austrian Airlines. I used them last year and had no problems. The taxi driver was a few minutes early, the vehicle was a spotless Mercedes, and we were at the airport with plenty of time. Here is the link:
