Hotel Austria - facade work predicted during our stay- alternatives?

Hi there folks, I booked the Hotel Austria Wien for 4 nights in October 2026 as an “early bird” but I overlooked that there will be work on the facade during our stay.

Should I book somewhere else?

Or would that be too drastic?

We’ll likely pay at least 8% more for any similar hotel as we’re no longer early birds. I’m trying to stay around the same price point of what Hotel Austria would be charging us for our dates if we booked now so about $852/4 nights or €728/4 nights.

I really like Hotel Austria. I wouldn't think that would impact your stay, unless for some reason its really noisy. And in that case, it'd be during the day when you would likely be gone.

I highly doubt that your stay will suffer any ill effects of construction work on the exterior facade . That kind of work starts in the early AM , around , eight to nine ,and tends to end between four and five PM
