DH and I arrived in Vienna from Arizona today! We are wiped out from 3 flights, but thrilled to be here. We thought on Thursday we'd like to do a hike and end up at a heurigen. The weather should be quite warm and we're thinking a walk of about 6-7 miles with some views would be great. Looked at the Vienna city hiking map which is quite thorough, but how to choose? Thanks for advice.

Thanks Emily. It looks like rain is expected on Saturday and we leave on Sunday. That's why we think we need to do this before the weekend. I presume the events happen regardless of weather?
BTW our hotel, Das Tyrol, is beautiful and charming. Extremely happy and love the location in the Museum Quarter. Excited to try the restaurants you've recommended and explore this gorgeous city.
