Looking for info on Highline 179. How far from the bridge is the parking area? I will have a person in my party that has limited mobility, is it a long walk to Ehrenburg Castle? How big is the hill? Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. How much time should I plan on spending there? Is 2-3 hours enough? we will be coming from Neuschwanstein and have a hotel in Ruette.

It is a 20 minutes uphill walk on a forest trail from the parking area to the bridge. You should wear appropriate shoes.

Two to three hours will give you plenty of time to cross over the bridge and back and to then climb the ruins at Ehrenburg for a bit. The walk up the hill would be difficult for someone with mobility issues, however you could push a wheelchair on that portion of the trip. Crossing the bridge via wheelchair would be a different story.
