Heuriger open in late November?

I will be spending a week in Vienna in late November and would like to visit a Heuriger. Are there any open then that are accessible via streetcar or tram? Thanks.

I was in Vienna about 5 or so years ago in January. I took a tram to the Vienna Woods and did go to a couple Heurigers. It was pretty quiet, but I liked going there. You might try a Friday or Saturday night, maybe that'd be livelier.

Yes, they are open all year. Tram and streetcar are the same thing, fyi. I like Schuebel-Auer, which is directly across the end station of Tram D. I also like Feuerwehr Wagner, which is right next to a 38a bus stop (get this bus at the U4 Heiligenstadt station). Tram 31 ends in Stammersdorf, which is a village known for its wine growing. Wieninger is there and is well known for its high quality food. You won’t find tour buses in this area like you will in Grinzing, which I think is to be avoided at all cost. Stammersdorf is also known for its Kellergasse, a street lined with wine cellars and gardens run by local producers. There are a lot of Heurigen open all the year round. These are two with not only the best connection to public transport (tram), but also with a longstanding tradition (since 18th century):

Claims to be Vienna's oldest Heuriger (closed on Sundays):

Try "Surschnitzel", a rather rare variant of Wiener Schnitzel (the pork is marinated before fried).

Very popular, good food offering:

We went to a Heuriger in late November 2016. The area was a little sleepy and not all were open but we did find a restaurant open. We were very pleased, actually with this place: http://zummartinsepp.at/
