Hello, my wife and I will be visiting Vienna in early June and want to visit several heurigers off grininger such as Muth and Werner and possibly walk from Werner to Schubel-Auer. We will get there and back to the city via the tram. We are in our 60's and will not have a working cell phone.
My question is: Is this area safe to walk around after dark? Specifically, from heuriger to heuriger and to the tram station? Thank you in advance. Dan

I'd pretty much bet my life that there is no place in Europe safer than the 19th District of Vienna where Grinzing and Nussdorf are located. It is a posh area where people leave $1000 strollers alone outside. The most dangerous thing is crossing the street.

Only one thing to add to Emily's comment that might affect your safety is how much wine you consume. :-)
