Hertz at Kärntner Ring

I will be returning a rental car to the Hertz office on Kärntner Ring around June 3-4. In photographs I can see the big wall ad for the Hertz rental agency at Kartner, but I can't guess where the actual dropoff is. The agency location looks like Times Square, and I don't want to stop in the super-busy area and search for a garage entrance. I'm guessing the drop off may be on a back street somewhere. There were complaints of "fraud" by tourists a few years ago...about this location having a dropoff without personnel and then, later, surprises of damage charges in the mail from when the staff returned for regular hours the next day. Therefore, I'd like to drop the car off in person and conduct a walk-about with staff to sign off on the paperwork.

Anyone drop off a car there in the last year? Thanks so much!

Since Austrian privacy laws prohibit Google Street Views, has anyone found a useful way to look for garage entrances, parking tunnels, etc. which just don't show up in an aerial shot?

The drop off is on the right side heading away from the Museum Quarter and it is very conjested,I have dropped cars here before and will again this year.I believe the Hertz sight has a map of the drop sight.

OK. Thanks, Mike. Is it on that same first long block, sort of 3-4 doors door from the Hertz Office itself, which seems to be about the 2nd office at the head of the block? Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the MuseumQuarter yet.

It is at the Hertz Sign, that is their office and they will go over the car and give you your release right there in front of the office with all of the mayhem going on around you on the street and sidewalk. The actual address is #17 Kartner Ring.Note, You can contact Austrian Tourism on the net and get maps and brochures via mail.My Austrian car rental was my most expensive of the four rentals this year,France,Germany,Austria,Spain.

Thanks, Mike. I'll embrace the mayhem. I'll be using the car in the Grossglockner High Alpine Higway, so I've decided to get a car with automatic this time...425 euros, without the collision waiver, etc., for the week. Thanks again for the info about the dropoff spot.
