I'm planning for a two day and two night side trip to Salzgammergut from Salzburg by rental car with my family/ two kids. Hallstatt, Fuschi are on my list. Which is the ideal place to stay ? Is Bad Ischl ideal place to stay for both nights ? I heard there are lots of B&B and farm houses in those villages. Any help will he appreciated.

Bad Ischl is a good location,if you like being on a lake you might look at St Wolfgang which is on a lake,there are lots of lodgings on the lake and in the surrounding area.
