Help with Austrian Itinerary please

Hi
My husband and I are travelling via car from Paris, through Germany, to Prague, down to Cesky Krumlov and then through
Austria, Switzerland and back to France.

I would greatly value anyone's thoughts as to our Austrian itinerary which will be over 8 days:

Vienna - 4 nights - visit all the top attractions plus wander the city.

on route to Salzburg, visit Melk Abbey etc

Salzburg - 3 nights - Mirabell Gardens & city's attraction, day trip to Hallstatt

then we plan to stop in Innsbruck and then to Mittenwald for nights stay

Sounds pretty sensible. If you drink wine, make sure in Vienna to visit the "wine pubs" called heurigern. These are outside the main city, but accessible by bus (late into the night). So pleasant to sit, drink a glass of inexpensive non-demanding wine, possibly have a dinner, and enjoy the gemutlichkeit.
