Hi everyone. Desperately need your advice. On a Viking cruise that was JUST rerouted and now ends in Engelshartzell.
We just purchased FlixBus tickets from Passau HBf to Prague. QUESTION: How do we get from Engelshartszell to Passau HbF at 9:00 am from whenever Viking docks ? There seems to be no public transport etc. Are there taxis ?
EDIT: we are a family of 6 with one suitcase each.
Appreciate any and all advice. And Viking not much help btw.

Don't know if they have vans. Otherwise, two taxis. Won't be cheap.

PS: Your other post states that you are travelling from Regensburg to Prague, not from Passau.
The OEBB website shows a bus leaving Engelhartszell (note the spelling) at 10:43, arriving Passau approx. 30 min. later (www.oebb.at).
Why ? are you going to be in Engelhartszell? Is that where the Viking ship docks? Does the ship go on to Passau? How did you get into this situation?
There are buses (see above) from Engelhartszell to Passau, but it doesn't look like they run until after 9am.
We were SUPPOSED to dock at Regensburg Saturday where the cruise ends. We had tickets to go to Prague from the Regensburg station.
They announced the water levels were too low and turned the boat around and said we were going back to Passau and not Regensburg, so I booked tickets from Passau to Prague. Then I saw in the app that they are going to move us Friday night at 9pm from Passau to engelhartzell where will end the cruise Saturday morning.
At first Viking was like “don’t worry, we’ll bus you to Regensburg”. Then they said they couldn’t because we left earlier than the other passengers. Hence why I booked the Passau to Prague tickets. They are not being helpful at all and it’s really ruining the end of the cruise.
Anyone who read this full situation have any advice ?

I googled taxis from Engelhartszell to Passau. There are services that take 26 minutes and cost around 60-70 Euro. Have a look and book a taxi - seems easiest. You might need two.

But if the ship calls in Passau, why don't you leave it there on Friday evening?

My thought exactly, but then why did he have to find out about it in the "app"? Why wasn't the ships crew informing their passengers about the plans directly.
I've never really been interested in a river cruise, but always thought if I did it would be a Viking cruise, but now they are the last one I would ever use. I just have never felt that the only place I would ever want to be would be near a river (always the same river?). I plan my own trips and they are far more comprehensive that that.
You should just not have jumped the gun on flixbus tickets.
From both Regensburg and Passau you can travel by train to Prague about every two hours. From Regensburg it is even a direct train, and the price is fixed, so you do not need to book in advance. So just have Viking bring you to Regensburg. Then in the station buy a ticket to Prague, and go.
