Heiligenblut in August

Hi. Seeking advice on Heiligenblut in August. I reserved the National Park Lodge for 3 nights, but am concerned that there might not be enough to entertain my 15 and 16 year old kids in the village. We will definitely go hiking one day. Is the town sleepy in the summer?
Thank you for any help.

I don't think Heiligenblut is sleepy in the summer, I think it is touristy. Being the starting point for climbing Austria's highest mountain a lot of people will most likely use the warmer weather to go to the summit. Heiligenblut is a small village having a population of about 1000, most likely outnumberd by tourists.

We stayed at a farm for one overnight above Heiligenblut in late July this year. Not much going on there. Beautiful scenery. We had dinner, looked into the church and the few souvenir stores. This was in route to Lienz, that has much more to offer. Lienz is about 40k away and could be a day trip. There is a Rodelbahn there, Tristacher See Strandbad for swimming, nice café in the pedestrian area of Lienz etc.

Thank you for your replies. Any recommendations for a village with beautiful alpine mountains and hiking, but with a bit more to do?
