Has anyone used the Senior 2 trip metro ticket in Vienna?

Hi, my wife and I will be using the Senior 2 trip metro ticket when in Vienna.
I have two questions:

1. can my wife and I use the same ticket on the same ride?
and second, how do you validate the ticket for the second ride? is this two-sided ticket? thank you

Yes, we used this but we did NOT try using one ticket for two people -- the ticket has two ends to validate, so we each had a ticket and used it for round trip. Good deal!!

I have checked the German version of the Wiener Linien website, and it unambiguously states that it can be used either by one person for two journeys, or two people for one journey. However, it suggests that you must show an elderly person's photocard from either Winier Linien or the Austrian railways - I don't know if that would be relaxed for foreigners.

That is not quite correct. Any photo-id which bears the DOB will do. You must be at least 62 years old to be eligible for using that senior ticket.

It depends on the anticipated number of rides whether one of the different passes will be a cheaper choice.
