There's a great, FREE attraction in Salzburg that few people seem to know about - Hangar 7. Hangar 7 is a "museum" of Red Bull extreme sport paraphenalia including race cars, motorcycles, fighter jets etc. Dietrich Maneschitz, an Austrian, started Red Bull using a Thai drink formula in partnership with the Thai couple who formulated the drink. Now over a billion cans a year are sold. Red Bull sponsors everything from soccer teams to high altitude skydivers. The Hangar 7 building is a design marvel (the fanciest mens washroom I've ever seen) and the contents extremely interesting especially for the young which I'm not. Its located at the Salzburg airport and is definitely worth a few hours of your time (especially if you're over-dosing on cathedrals and fortresses).
