Is there a place in Hallstatt we can store our luggage if we go to Hallstatt in the a.m. from Salzburg and leave in the evening to Vienna?

Rick's book recommends storing bags at Attnang-Pucheim station, where you will usually change trains heading both directions. If you miss a tight (12-minute) connection, the wait for the next train is typically one hour. Heading toward Vienna, the Austrian railway and competing WestBahn brand trains each depart once per hour. In Hallstatt itself, you would just have to ask at a local business.
