Hallstatt lodging recommendation

Hi,

We are planning to for one day/night at Hallstatt in the end of October. Can someone recommend a place (B&B, hotel, apartment) to stay at Hallstatt for two people? Is October is still consider a high season in Hallstatt?

Have stayed a Hotel Grüner Baum and was very pleased. Try to get a room overlooking the lake. Although the view of the square is also good

You could have a look at.....

  • Seehotel Grüner Baum (probably the best hotel in town, but a bit pricey)
  • Gasthof Simony (right next door to Grüner Baum - older hotel but very comfortable - also has rooms with lake view)

Check the guidebook or Trip Advisor for other listings.

Another vote for Hotel Gruner Baum. It was beautiful. One of our favorites of the trip and right in the center of things.
