Going to Salzburg 11-2022

The apartment that we are staying in has wifi and I understand that there are plenty of wifi opportunities as well, but should I buy a pay as you go phone? I don't want to use international data from our mobile phones, thank you

Most wifi's in apartments are adequate for most people's uses--surfing the web, etc. If sending pictures and other heavy use programs, they may take longer than you're used to.

As far as a phone, we just get our cell carrier's international plan for one month and then cancel it when we return home. It comes with unlimited phone, texting and data. And it works exactly as it does at home. There again, T Mobile is owned by Deutch Telecom.

If you have T-Mobile in the states you can use slow data in most of Europe at no cost.
