Getting to the Dürrnberg Mountain Coaster from Salzburg

Hello,

Is it possible to take a bus from Salzburg to the Dürrnberg mountain coaster/ hiking area? We are leaving our rental car in Germany before taking the train to Salzburg for 3 nights; so, won't have a car but wanted to try these if the weather is good. Wiling to take a taxi as well but would like to save $ if there is a bus! It looks like the Hop on Hop Off bus goes near there, but wasn't sure if it was a direct drop off?

Many Thanks.

Is that the Keltenblitz Sommerrodelbahn? According to Google Maps, you can take various busses (depending on time) from Salzberg, all connecting in Hallein to the 41 bus.

I guess "Zinkenlift" is where you want to go.
There us an hourly connection by train (S3) and bus (41). Use following route planer for Salzburg public transport.

And yes, Salzburg hop-on-off bus is goung there 3 times a day.

But if your plan is just hiking and the mountain coaster (that could be combined with Hallein salt mine) train/bus combo would be the better option.
