FYI—No more quarantine for positive covid test in Austria

Since August 1, 2022, people who test positive no longer have to enter
quarantine and can, if they do not feel sick, participate in most
aspects of public life. In accordance with government regulations,
these people are subject to requirements for free movement and a
general requirement to wear an FFP2 mask. Entry prohibitions apply in
especially sensitive areas.

I was certainly biting my nails in July, waiting to see if my Covid test was negative or positive while in Salzburg.

One could argue whether this is a positive or negative. It basically means you are left to a person's judgement as to whether they should isolate, or go about their way. Seen lots of posts on how that's working on the RS tours. I get it, you can't keep things locked down forever, I take few precautions myself most days, but there are many that will soldier on come hell or high water.
