Hi everyone,
My boyfriend and I are planning to travel to Cologne (Koln), Germany the last week of August/first week of September to visit his family. We have about 8-10 days, and were planning to maybe take a train from Cologne to Munich, and then drive towards Austria/Innsbruck area for some hiking and beer gardens. :) We both work in health care and have been fully COVID vaccinated since January 2021.
My questions for you--
My research thus far has been inconclusive, but-- is there any confirmation that COVID restrictions (ie closing of bars, restaurants, beer gardens, etc) are on the horizon? I know, I know-- it's something that's re-evaluated on a day by day basis. Just want to know what the general consensus is.
Has anyone heard of or had a difficult time driving across the boarder from Germany to Austria? and back to Germany from Austria? Assuming its possible right now?
Any information regarding the above would be extremely helpful! Thanks in advance.
