Emily, or whomever, help

I need a Vienna hotel. A boutique hotel or something similar. $300/night max. Something a woman would appreciate.

Where? Within a 8 minute walk of an excellent dining experience. The sort of experience where a woman would want to wear a dress. Atmosphere, romance...

Thanks

Mr. E, your first post was so exciting and your second post was so disappointing!

We stayed at Hotel Am Stephansplatz across from the cathedral, and the hotel was lovely, and we had excellent breakfasts.

Mister E, I just stayed at Pension Suzanne. It literally is around the corner from the Opera House. Close to sights, tram and subway 1-2 blocks away. It may not be fancy enough for her. It’s comfortable and location is great.

cala, if it were me, it would be Budapest. I know the hotel and the restaurant and a theater night. Vienna can't touch it. But I could be wrong so thought I would ask tge experts.

+1 to Pension Suzanne. They have a portable a/c unit in the room (the kind that vents out the window), but we didn’t need it last month. Staff friendly and kind, and delicious breakfast. Under your budget, we paid less than 200 euros. Solid choice and good location, as noted above:)

lol. feeling nostalgic for my great trip to Vienna and Budapest in May so hopped on travel forum and 2 of my "heroes" posted here. Mister E, I too was so excited when I read you question and then bummed it wasn't for you and some lucky lady!!! And I loved "Emily is here" chiming in with her recommendations.

Nothing else to say except wanted you both to know how helpful you are! I have my Budapest travel diary up but still need to get the Austria/Germany one up here!

That's all folks.
